Nebraska Rubber Innovations installed our playground mats in the
summer of 2004. We have been very pleased with this product. One unexpected
bonus of having the mats installed on the playground was the significant reduction
on the amount of sand brought into our building after recess. The custodians
have commented how much easier it is to vacuum the carpets now without all of

We just recently completed the new exhibit
that we used the gray crumb rubber as simulated ash, and I wanted to send along
some photos of the display. The rubber is working just great for our dig site
- much better than sand! Also, there are some photos included here of another
fossil display that we used the rubber in, with fine success.

of the first customers you had to inquire about placing your rubber mats on
a flat roof/balcony... I just want to let you know that the mats have been there
for two years now and are holding up wonderfully! We have placed outdoor furniture
on top of the mats - we are now able to fully enjoy the space!

Thank you so much for all your help in designing a safe play surface for our children. As you know, we were especially concerned with our children's safety because our daughter Madeleine had two brain surgeries before the age of three. The last thing we needed was to have Madi, Kami or Joey fall off the equipment and suffer head trauma. The installation went very smoothly and, as Madi says, "It's so beautiful!" We considered several surface options such as sand, pea gravel, and wood mulch, but all of those substances had drawbacks. When we found your web site, it was obvious that your product met all of our needs. The crumb rubber base is perfect. Our kids love how they "bounce" when they jump off of the swings and our son loves to plow his trucks through it. The material is clean and safe with no odor. We don't have to worry about sand being tracked into the house, pea gravel that hurts to walk on, or rotting mulch that needs to be replenished every year. The new play surface blends in very nicely with the surrounding landscaping. After just one week, I can't imagine using any other material for a play surface. It is such a relief not having to worry anymore when our children are playing. Thank you so much for providing an ideal playground material that is safe, environmentally friendly, and affordable. I train & shoe horses here
in O'Neill, NE. I have been doing this for several years and it seems that I'm
constantly filling in holes that the horses have dug. That all stopped a couple
of months ago when Nebraska Rubber Innovations brought over an Ag mat for me
to try. It has been wonderful. The mat is rigid and heavy enough that it stays
where you lay it down. The mat stays flat on top the sand and the horses do
not work the sand out from under it. I have also shod a number of horses on
the Ag mat during this time. The mat is holding up very well even when the horses
are stomping on it barefoot or shod. The sharps do not tear it up. This is a
very nice mat.

My son laid down some mats for a sidewalk for me in June. I love it. We just put it right over the grass, no digging, laying forms or anything. We also have a campground and I put a mat in front of the out house door to keep the grass and dirt out, also put some around our hydrants and one in front of our shower stall so when you step out of the shower you step on the mat instead of grass, dirt or boards that would rot out. I recently landscaped a small backyard play area with cyprus mulch and NRI tire mats. The mats look and work great! The kids love them, too. I also placed one under the swingset which gets muddy after a rain. It also saves time when mowing. Pat Langan
